Recommended Course
For optimum results, we recommend a course of 3–6 treatments, approximately 4–6 weeks apart. Your treatment plan will be personalised following a professional skin consultation.
Before Your Treatment
A consultation and skin assessment are required before treatment.
For best results, avoid retinol, Vitamin A, exfoliating acids and other active skincare ingredients for 3–5 days before your appointment.
Avoid sun exposure and tanning, and do not have laser/IPL treatments, waxing or other aggressive skin treatments shortly before your microneedling appointment.
Aftercare
Your therapist will provide you with personalised aftercare advice.
Following treatment:
- Avoid makeup for up to 24 hours
- Use your Exo Booster as instructed for 7 days
- Apply SPF 30+ every day
- Avoid direct sun exposure
- Avoid strenuous exercise for the first 24–72 hours
- Avoid retinol, Vitamin A, AHA/BHA acids and exfoliating products while your skin is recovering
- Do not pick, scratch or peel the skin
Please note: Temporary redness, warmth, sensitivity and mild swelling can occur following microneedling and are a normal part of the skin’s recovery process.
Not Suitable For
This treatment may not be suitable if you are pregnant or breastfeeding, have active acne, open wounds, skin infection, active cold sores, certain skin conditions, or are taking medications that affect healing or blood clotting.
